Nuvi, one of the premier manufacturers of car navigation systems, has consistently managed to deliver devices that are equipped with a great deal of solid features, and which also invariably deliver quality performance. The latest to come from the company ranks is the Garmin Nuvi 880, a sleek little device with a compact build and simple design. Basically a portable unit, the Garmin Nuvi 880 measures 4.9 inches wide by 3.1 inches high by 0.7 inch deep and weighs 6.2 ounces. Moreover, as the device is stuffed with a wonderful array of games and travel tools, there is hardly a boring moment in the car; in fact, you will never stop feeling at home as your entertainment needs will be taken well care of.
A significant aspect of the unit is its spacious spacious 4.3-inch touch screen, and coupled with a 480×272-pixel resolution ensures that the display is easy on the eye, and bright and easy to follow. The Nuvi 880 represents an upgrade over its predecessor the Garmun Nuevi 860 TFM, and comes with multiple improvements. There is also the provision to adjust the brightness of the screen, and the automatic mode functionality that automatically alters the colours of the maps for optimal viewing, depending on the natural light available.
That’s not all as the Garmin Nuvi 880 has been incorporated with a vehicle mount, (windshield and dash), a car charger, a USB cable, a speech recognition remote control, along with other reference materials.
