There have always been times when we had to miss important phone calls while we are driving through roads. Of course, talking on the phone whilst driving is illegal so without a hands-free kit, we cannot answer the call. These phone calls could have resulted in business loss or a cancellation of an important meeting. Whatever the reason it is important that we find a good solution that takes care of this problem. The Sony Ericsson HCB-100 is an excellent piece of equipment that helps us receive and make calls without having to take our hands off the steering wheels.

The HCB-100 from Sony Ericsson has no ear piece or wires and the need to make holes in your dashboard does not arise. Just have the Sony-Ericsson HCB-100 handsfree kit clipped on to your sun visor and flip the microphone down when required. It is a small unit and is removed easily when you leave your car. Connect the unit to your phone and it becomes functional even if your phone is inside your bag. It is important to leave your phone switched on to activate the Bluetooth into action.

The call clarity is excellent and you can hear your caller vividly. A simple adjustment helps increase the sound coming in so you can hear what your caller is saying louder. The Digital Noise Cancellation feature ensures that your voice sounds very clear to the caller. The Sony-Ericsson accessory provides a talk time of 15 hours and the facility to make calls through voice calling option through your handset is provided.

The Sony Ericsson Bluetooth handsfree kit allows up to 5 hand phones to be connected to it and a colour indicator tells you which phone is receiving the call. The unit also comes in handy for use at your desk at home as it sits itself fairly well on the table.

Fans of in-car audio system manufacturing giant Motorola are in for a surprise with the launch of the latest Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone by the company, the MOTOROKR T505. People will especially feel confused as to what motivated the manufactures to do away with its garish and futuristic designs and instead come out with something as subdued as the T505. The device also appears on the bigger side, but thankfully somehow manages to attach itself to the car’s visor in an unobtrusive manner.

The most endearing aspect of the device is that it is highly compatible with latest mobile phones like say, the Samsung i560 and the iPhone 3G, and pairs with them in a matter of seconds. Once you are done with the connection, you can tune the Motorola T505 into a radio frequency by pressing and holding the dedicated button for a moment or two. A robotic voice will guide you through the various radio stations, and also play a proactive role in the selection of these stations. Motorola has incorporated the intuitive StationFinder technology for the purpose, which is provided with the faculty to single out the best frequency, based on static and reception, each time you ask it to refresh.

The easy set-up of the unit is another adorable side, and takes somewhere around 30 seconds to get going. The high fidelity calls adds to the desirability of this device. The audio at times sounded hollow at both the ends, but otherwise appeared loud and clearly audible.
