TomTom Rider Sat Nav: The Premier Navigation Solution for Motorcycles and Two-Wheelers
There has not been much choice as far as a GPS solution with motorcycling is concerned, until the launch of the TomTom Rider Sat Nav. It is a series of satellite navigation systems for your bicycles and motorcycles. TomTom Rider Sat Nav systems come in a water-resistant case and a Bluetooth headset.
Rider was borne as a result of redesigning the GO device. To the original GO range, they added the newer and much more efficient SiRFStarIII Chipset that is far more sensitive than the earlier versions. You can pair a Bluetooth handset with the Rider TomTom sat nav and on receiving an incoming call, the sound gets diverted to the Bluetooth helmet headset and the name of the caller and telephone number is displayed on the screen of the Rider. Voice instructions are also relayed to a motorcyclist through the Bluetooth as it does not include an internal speaker. The Tom Tom Rider Sat Nav systems come with a safety screen which restricts accessing of the menus while the motorcycle is moving. All the menus are accessible only when the motor cycle is at standstill.
Since the Tom Tom Rider Sat Nav systems are meant for motorbikes, scooters, bicycles, etc, they come with a variety of mounts and other options that allow you to easily mount the Rider on your two-wheeler. Some of the models in the range of Tom Tom Rider Sat Nav systems include the TomTom Rider V2 UK & Ireland, TomTom Rider V2 UK & Western Europe and the TomTom Rider V2 Europe.
