Cars are increasingly becoming more electronic and with more advanced features, such as on board computers that GPS navigation, or play music and movies. Still many people are disappointed in the progress and waiting for the point when cars will be able to think for themselves and fight off bad guys, just like KITT (the artificial intelligence super car) from the legendary TV show Knight Rider. Knight Rider, starring David Hasselhoff, took place way back in the 80’s and already KITT could drive by himself, jump over obstacles, and of course communicate with people. Engineers are still working on most of these abilities, but at least people will finally be able to communicate with KITT, now that the company Mio is developing a Knight Rider themed GPS.
The Knight Rider GPS uses the same voice of KITT heard in the TV series, which fans will immediately recognize, to give drivers directions. But the features don’t stop there, as the GPS also comes with a Knight Rider logo located on it. All dedicated fans have to do now is purchase a black Trans Am, equip it with the Knight Rider GPS, and begin living their long-sought after David Hasselhoff fantasy. Of course, Knight Rider fans will have to hold off living this fantasy for a little while longer, as the KITT GPS has yet to be released by Mio.
